Books are easily destroyed… but words wll live for as long as people remember them. Tattoos for example are very hard to forget. I think there’s something about the impermanence of life thse days that makes it necessary to etch ink into our skin. It reminds us that we’ve been marked by the world, that we’re still alive. That we’ll never forget.
Unravel Me by Tahara Mafi was full of beautifully written moments, but this section, said to Juliette by Warner really stayed with me. I am loving all the books I’ve managed to read that feature tattoo’d characters in recent times!
